Andy Anderton Reports: Andy's 73rd Birthday Celebrations.
Graham (Mothballs) Napthen and I, and our ladies, spent a great weekend on the occasion of my 73rd birthday, 11th July. I attach a picture of us posing by the entrance to RAF West Mill Green!
On the next day, Sunday 12th, we went on a cruise on the River Orwell and then on to a nice pub lunch. Then it was a stroll by the sea at Harwich Harbour and then home for a cup of tea.
Next year will be my special one - 74 - how many others will be celebrating that number in the year of the Triennial?
Best regards
Andy
Christopher Miles Reports from NZ: D-Day Parade.
On Saturday June 6th., a special parade was organised, by me for the local Returned Serviceman's Association, to commemorate the 65th. anniversary of the Normandy Landings - D-Day. That's me on the right, shivering in the bitter cold.
Actually, my left ankle has given up the ghost and am now pretty well unable to walk, let alone stand. The very pale blue roof is that of the Presbyterian Church - get fell in you 'orrible sinners. Actually, I am Board of Managers.
My lovely Philippines wife has just arrived home from a day out with the local Waihi Womens Institute.
Methinks, I am pregnant with expectation, a fact of life that has never enjoyed by Evangeline - she never married until she was 53 years young.
I would add that it is quite a thing here to go overseas for love. My British son-in-law led the way - my children are not British.
Fall out.
Christopher Miles, 588564.
